Welcome to the Adventures of Fun Bobbie ~

The Adventures of Fun Bobbie currently has volumes 1 - 6 of the 15 volumes released with 7 - 15 scheduled to be released in 2026.

Each book is equipped with SAT prep words and a glossary to engage our youth with these words as early as they are introduced to the content. In an attempt to dispel myths within the African American community around therapy, education and an overall growth mindset there is also a mental health workbook for each 5 volumes released. The intent is for readers to begin the practice of writing down their thoughts to process and give their feelings and emotions words.

Fun Bobbie is in several school libraries throughout Northern California’s Bay Area, Kansas City, Miami, Charlotte, Chicago, Thibodaux and Atlanta, Harris is looking to expand Fun Bobbie’s reach beyond those areas as well.

With the current racial, social, economical, political divides and overall civil unrest in America and the world at large, it's been a long time coming for the content I created 8 years ago to be shared broadly. It's been said books are an amazing gift that gives back to its recipient. What started out as a fictional character for my 2 sons to look up to in regards to coping with the social injustices they were experiencing at their prestigious private school as young black boys in the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as a parenting tool for parents on how to teach them to navigate, has now morphed into something beyond anyone’s wildest dreams! Fun Bobbie's profound impact and reach is positively affecting an entire generation and culture. Unfortunately that gets books like these banned. As I, in essence join the ranks of my Soror; the late great Nikki Giovanni in writing thought provoking books we would love for you to be as radical as the content therein and help Fun Bobbie to continue expanding its reach to more young minds like the scholars we are all influencing.

About the authour

Timesha A. Harris is a native of Richmond, California. A proud alum of Clark Atlanta University and member of the Illustrious Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Harris' worldview as an African-American mother of two black sons helped to shape the book series Fun Bobbie.

With her passion for education, freedom, justice and advocacy for equality across all platforms she uses her writing to potentially encourage the disenfranchised and enlighten the privileged. Her life experiences with her upbringing coupled with raising her sons have prompted the stories you will embark upon while reading the Fun Bobbie series.

Although socially provocative and taboo she explores ways in which she handles parenting and would strive for youth to navigate various tough situations through the eyes of a 13-year-old's reactions to potential real-life events. Harris aims to dissipate the myth that reading is not fun or that writing is one dimensional.
